My name is Olivia Comella. I am a freshman attacker on the Women’s Lacrosse team at Arizona State University. I am currently studying business, and striving to get my Bachelor of Business Administration. I am originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts. I have been playing lacrosse my whole life, and have always been around athletes. I come from a competitive family filled with athletes. Sports have been apart of my life so as long as I can remember. My father and two uncles all played football in the NFL for some time, so I was constantly surrounded by other hardworking athletes. Growing up in a family where sports was so much more than just a game I learned early on about the values of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. Seeing the level of greatness my family members achieved, inspired me to chase my own goals with that same drive. Through the ups and downs, sports have taught me lessons that go far beyond the field — lessons about leadership, teamwork, and resilience. I’ve learned that success isn’t about talent alone; it’s about consistency, mindset, and the willingness to push through challenges.
My goal is to inspire other athletes, especially young athletes, to believe in themselves and never stop working hard. By sharing my story I hope to motivate others to work harder, and realize that success comes with consistency and dedication. I want to use my platform to encourage athletes set goals and build confidence in themselves in and out of their sports. I also want to show young athletes that you are capable of anything you put your mind to.
